Frequently asked questions
What subtitle formats do you deliver?
SRT and VTT as standard; a burned-in (hardcoded) video file at the SDH/burn-in tier.
What's SDH, and do I need it?
Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing — they include sound descriptions (e.g. "[phone ringing]") alongside dialogue. Needed for accessibility compliance or broadcast delivery; optional otherwise.
Do you subtitle live streams?
No — this service covers recorded video with a fixed runtime; live captioning is a different technical process we don't currently offer.
How is the price calculated for a 12-minute video?
12 video minutes × the tier rate — €90 at Subtitle + translate, €126 at SDH/burn-in — regardless of how much dialogue is actually spoken.
Can you translate into multiple target languages from one video?
Yes — scope each target language as a separate line at the same video-minute rate.
