How we work

Assess. Match. Translate and revise. Deliver.

Four steps, run the same way on every order — adapted in substance, never skipped, to what that specific service requires.

— 01 / THE FOUR STEPS
01

Assess.

You send a document, file or brief. We confirm scope — page or word count, language pair, and which tier or timeline fits — and respond within one business hour, Mon–Fri 8:00–18:00. This is also where we flag anything that changes the plan: illegible handwriting, an unusually large volume, a rare language pair.

02

Match.

Your project is assigned to a linguist (or, for Specialist/Regulatory tiers, a linguist plus a second reviewer) working specifically in that subject matter — legal, medical, technical, financial, audiovisual, or general. Not the next available name on a shared roster.

03

Translate & revise.

The work is translated, then independently revised before delivery on nine of our ten services — a second set of eyes checking against the source and against the relevant terminology or register. (Sworn translations are the one exception: the certifying MAEC-appointed translator is personally responsible for the translation under Spanish law, so no second-linguist revision is layered on top.)

04

Deliver.

Delivered in the format the service requires — a signed and stamped PDF, a subtitle file, a transcript, a translated string set — by the turnaround confirmed at step one, through the delivery method you chose.

Translate → independently revise → deliver

Translate.

A linguist with the right subject-matter background produces the first full translation.

Independently revise.

A second set of eyes (or, on sworn work, the certifying translator's own legal responsibility) checks the result before it ships.

Deliver.

In your chosen format, on the confirmed date.

Delivery: digital by default (email); certified hard copy by post (€9.50, Spain) or EU courier (€24.00); pick-up at the Badalona office (free).

Every order passes through the same revision step before it reaches you.

Frequently asked questions

Does every service get independently revised?

Nine of the ten do, as standard. Sworn translation is the exception, for the legal reason explained above — the certifying translator carries personal responsibility under Spanish law.

What if I need something faster than the fastest published tier?

Tell us — for most services we can discuss options beyond the published tiers on a bespoke basis.

How do you assign linguists to a project?

By subject matter first: legal work goes to linguists working in legal translation, medical to medical, and so on — not by whoever is next available.

What happens if a file is hard to work with (bad scan, complex formatting)?

We flag it at the assessment step, before work starts, and confirm any impact on turnaround before proceeding.

Can I speak to the linguist working on my project?

Requests go through our team rather than direct linguist contact, so we can keep quality control and confidentiality consistent — but we're glad to relay questions either way.
