How this service runs
Send a clear scan or photo of the document. We confirm the page count and which timeline fits your deadline.
A MAEC-appointed sworn translator is assigned to the document.
The translation is produced, then signed, stamped and certified — sworn translations are not independently revised by a second linguist, since the certifying translator is personally responsible for the translation under Spanish law.
You receive the signed PDF by email; a printed original follows if you chose a hard-copy delivery method.

Frequently asked questions
Is a sworn translation the same as a certified translation?
In Spain, "traducción jurada" (sworn translation) is the term for a translation signed and stamped by a translator appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAEC) — this is what Spanish public bodies mean by "certified."
Do you need my original document, or is a scan enough?
A clear scan or photo is enough for translation. The sworn translation is delivered stapled to a copy of what you sent; if the receiving body requires the physical original attached, tell us before we start.
Do you provide the apostille?
No — the apostille is issued by the authority that produced the original document, before translation. We can advise on the order of steps if you’re not sure.
What if the document is handwritten or hard to read?
Send it anyway. If any part is illegible, we'll flag it and confirm with you before certifying the translation.
What happens if my deadline changes after I order Standard?
Contact us as soon as you know — we'll confirm whether upgrading to Priority or Same-day is possible for the remaining pages.
Will this be accepted by [a specific authority]?
MAEC-certified sworn translations are the format Spanish public bodies require. If you're submitting abroad, check with the receiving body — requirements outside Spain vary.
